SAFE HOUSING PROGRAM FOR MOMS AND CHILDREN
HC PROGRAM
The HC Program is a community-based supportive housing program for mothers fleeing abuse who have care of their children 50% of the time or more. This drug and alcohol free program provides safe, stable housing alongside ongoing support to help families rebuild their lives in a structured and supportive environment.
This is a program with clear expectations that includes housing and regular engagement with supports. Residents are expected to participate in the program and follow community guidelines that support safety, accountability, and child wellbeing.
Mothers living at HC meet regularly, at least monthly, with their assigned Family Support Worker. These meetings provide ongoing support, goal setting, and coordination with community services, with a focus on parenting stability, safety, and long-term wellbeing for both mothers and children.
HC Program is intended for families who would benefit from consistent support, routine, and connection with community resources while working toward stability.
HC Program accepts residents through community referral only. Women cannot self-refer. Referrals must come from a recognized community resource such as a social service agency, transition house, child welfare worker, health or mental health providers, or other professional supports.
Community-based referrals help ensure the program is a good fit and that families understand the expectations of participation before moving in.
