R.C.M.P. and John Howard Society

October 2013 

NOW partnered with R.C.M.P. and John Howard Society to offer S.W.A.P. (Sex Workers Alternative Program) to our community.  S.W.A.P. is an alternative to the criminal justice system, designed to encourage sex workers to gain a greater awareness of prostitution and related issues so that they are able to make different and safer decisions in the future. United Way provided a financial contribution to get this program up and running.
